Since returning from the Middle East to live in the UK my e-mail has changed and am using Hotmail at the moment, want to use Outlook for e-mails but Outlook keeps asking for a password and won\’t send e-mails. Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community. I will provide you the steps to send and receive the e-mails by determining the cause. If the e-mail address is provided by ISP from UK and unable to setup, then check if you are able to login to webmail.

If you are able to login to Webmail, then remove and re-add the e-mail account and check if it helps. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, then create a new profile in Outlook and check if it is working.

If the e-mail address is provided by ESP from Middle East, then probable reason is the current internet Service Provider have blocked the outgoing server of the respective e-mail account. You will need to change the outgoing server settings with authentication if required. Contact the E-mail Service provider who might provide you the necessary settings so that you can use the e-mail address from UK. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn\’t help.

Windows 7: 1. Close Outlook. Click Start. In the search box enter \”Credential\”. You will then see Credential Manager. Select Credential Manager. Under Generic Credentials, you will most likely see an entry that has Outlook in the name. Delete it. In fact, you can delete all the entries in Generic Credentials if you like.

Close the Credential Manager window and open Microsoft Outlook. If it asks for a password, enter the password and check for it to remember the password. A new entry will be created in the credential vault with your latest login and password. Problem fixed. The problem for us has been that the saved password in the credential vault file doesn\’t appear to work anymore especially if we\’ve changed the password recently so by deleting it, another credential will be created the next time you log into Outlook with your latest password.

I have had continuing problems with outlook keep requesting my server password when I try to send an email, the email won\’t send and I have to delete it from my outbox to stop the password request keep appearing. Entering my password does not stop the password request keep appearing. I have tried changing my password with my ISP virginmedia. When I run the office configuration analyser it advises that I have a problematic add-in \”MsouPlug.

OutlookPlug\” enabled but when I check the outlook options it advises that there are no active add-ins. Restart the PC, windows Defender the win8 default protection utility should then start and update its definitions, it might also run a scan, as seen in the Action Centre notifications.
