I have a retail version of Server Standard. Reason for asking is, when I started the Eval download it picked up as Server Datacentre.
Being a 6GB file i cancelled the download as i was concerned it would be the wrong one. Do you not have the installation media from the server that you want to run the VM on? You should be able to capture the physical drive, and as such use that to install the product. Thanks for the info. The server is on a remote network, so I’m avoiding the trip which is far out. I’ve tried this and all available cmd methods. None worked. Resorted to using the original media and encountered activation issues.
